So you want to be in the band?
Here are a few questions to ask before bringing people into a worship team or even those already part of a worship team. Examine heart and motives prayerfully;

• Do you think it’s fun being on stage? (Fun IS good but not a principle for worship teams!)
• Are you just helping out and filling the gap in band members? (Not a problem in itself but we're talking full time availability not part time)
• Are you learning to play and hoping to gain some experience or free lessons?
• Do you feel you could worship God better from the stage than from the congregation?
• Are you unconsciously trying to promote your talent or gain a reputation or impress people?
• Are you trying to recapture your lost youth or mis-spent B(efore) C(hrist) days?
• Do you draw attention to yourself or to the Lord?
